今日のテキスト NASA'S GLOBAL SELFIES

The U.S. space agency NASA has taken self-portrait photos to a new level. It has created images of the Earth, using more than 36,000 so-called "selfies" received from people around the world.
NASA assembled the mosaic, using photos sent from people in 113 countries and territories. Their faces become visible by zooming in on the images.
NASA started a campaign to raise awareness of the environment on Earth Day on April 22nd. It asked people all around the world a simple question: "Where are you on Earth right now?" They answered with a selfie sent by way of social media. Comments about the completed work have been posted online. They ranged from "It looks cool!" to "I'm glad to be part of the Earth."
A NASA official says the agency is surprised that so many people took part. They hope the images will get global citizens to start thinking about the Earth and doing more to protect it.
