今日のテキスト INDIA SET FOR CHANGE OF POWER

Thousands of supporters turned out in India's capital on Saturday to greet Narendra Modi. He successfully led the opposition party campaign in the general election, which will bring about the first change of government in 10 years.
Modi traveled from his home state of Gujarat in western India and arrived to celebrations in New Delhi. His Bharatiya Janata Party, or BJP, won more than half of the 543 seats in parliament, defeating the ruling Congress Party by a large margin. It's the first time in 30 years that a single party has won a majority in India's parliament.
Modi opened a meeting with other BJP executives to discuss the procedures necessary to form a new government. Incumbent Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tendered his resignation to the country's president following his party's defeat. Modi is expected to be appointed as the new prime minister in a few days' time.
