今日のテキスト MOVING A LANDMARK

People in northern Japan are witnessing a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle — a moving castle.
Workers are moving the Hirosaki Castle tower so they can repair the stone walls underneath. They're working slowly because the structure is 200 years old and weighs 400 tons. They moved it about four meters in one day. The tower was last moved about 100 years ago.

"This is historic. It's something people almost never see, so I feel really lucky to have seen it."

The workers will move the tower to a temporary foundation 80 meters away. They expect the journey to take two months. They say the castle renovations will be finished in about 10 years.
