"Canadians from all across this great country sent a clear message tonight. It's time for a change in this country, my friends. A real change."

At 43, Trudeau will become the second-youngest prime minister in Canadian history. The Liberals started the campaign in third place with 37 seats in the House of Commons, but they rose to take 184 of the 338 seats up for grabs for an outright majority. The Conservatives have only 99 seats.
