今日のテキスト UN URGES RESCUE OF REFUGEES AT SEA

UN officials are warning of a humanitarian crisis in the waters of Southeast Asia. They say about 4,000 migrants are trapped on boats with nowhere to land. They're calling on authorities in the region to take them in.
Officials at the UN High Commissioner for Refugees say about 25,000 people have fled southeastern nations by boat since the beginning of the year. Most of them come from Myanmar and Bangladesh, and they say at least 300 of them have starved to death or drowned.
Last week, about 260 Rohingya refugees from Myanmar were able to land in western Indonesia. They were rescued by fishermen. Thousands of Rohingyas have fled the country to escape government oppression and violence at the hands of the Buddhist majority.
One of the refugees says he was trapped on a boat for three months. He said people were packed so tightly they couldn't move.
