"I'm getting ready to do something, too. I'm running for president."

The 67-year-old Clinton announced her candidacy on Sunday by releasing a video online. After serving as a U.S. senator, Clinton ran in the 2008 presidential primaries. She lost the Democratic Party's nomination to Barack Obama.
This time, the former first lady has the approval of about 60 percent of Democratic supporters. She's considered the most promising contender in her party. If elected, she would be the first female U.S. president. But Clinton has been criticized for using a private email address for official duties during her tenure at the State Department and her handling of some foreign affairs.
Republicans are hoping to take back the White House. Many candidates are expected to join the race.
