今日のテキスト GOP GAINS CONTROL OF BOTH CHAMBERS

The U.S. midterm election results have transformed the political dynamic in Washington. Republicans have gained control of the Senate. They now have control of both chambers of Congress for the first time in eight years.
All 435 seats in the House of Representatives were being contested in Tuesday's elections, as well as 36 of the 100 Senate seats. ABC News reported that 22 Republicans and 11 Democrats are certain to win Senate seats. This gives the Republicans a majority of 52 seats in the chamber. Democrats hold 45.
The Republicans also won 243 seats in the House, maintaining a majority in the chamber. Democrats secured 181. Before the elections, Democrats controlled the Senate, and Republicans were the majority party in the House.
Republicans fiercely criticized President Barack Obama during the election campaign, for what they called poor handling of Islamic State militants and the Ebola outbreak.
